TOWNSVILLE HOLIDAY RENTALS – STANDARD TERMS & CONDITIONS
1. AGREEMENT
1.1 You are entering into this agreement with the Property Owner.
Townsville Holiday Rentals acts as an agent for property owners, facilitating bookings and guest stays.
By confirming a booking, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. Breach of these terms may result in refusal of entry, termination of stay, or additional charges without refund.
This agreement is for short-term holiday accommodation only. The Residential Tenancies and Room Accommodation Act 2008 (QLD) does not apply. Queensland law governs this agreement.
1.2 The Owner and Agent reserve the right to refuse or cancel any booking at their discretion.
2. PROPERTY USE
2.1 The property is for holiday accommodation only. No parties, events, or commercial use without prior approval.
2.2 Guest numbers must not exceed the amount confirmed at booking. Breaches may result in eviction or additional charges.
2.3 No caravans, tents, or camping permitted.
2.4 No pets unless approved.
3. PAYMENTS
3.1 A deposit (30% or one night for short stays) is required to secure a booking.
3.2 Full payment is due 45 days prior to arrival. Bookings within 45 days require full payment within 48 hours.
3.3 A booking fee may apply and is non-refundable.
4. CANCELLATIONS
Cancellations are subject to the specific booking policy of the property selected. As each property may have different cancellation terms, guests should refer to the policy provided at the time of booking.
No refunds are provided for early departure.
5. SECURITY BOND
A bond is required and held as a pre-authorisation or payment prior to arrival.
Funds may be used for damages, excess cleaning, or breaches of these terms. Any additional costs remain the guest’s responsibility.
6. ARRIVAL & DEPARTURE
- Check-in: from 2:00pm
- Check-out: by 10:00am
Late check-out fees may apply.
7. DURING YOUR STAY
7.1 Properties are self-contained. Starter supplies are provided only.
7.2 Guests must respect neighbours. Noise restrictions apply (10pm–8am).
7.3 No parties or events. Breaches may result in eviction and bond forfeiture.
7.4 Guests are responsible for the property and must report damages immediately.
7.5 No smoking inside. Cleaning fees apply if violated.
7.6 Furniture must not be moved.
7.7 WiFi is provided where available but not guaranteed.
7.8 Children must be supervised at all times, especially around pools.
7.9 Maintenance or inspections may occur during your stay where required.
8. DEPARTURE REQUIREMENTS
Guests must leave the property in a clean and tidy condition:
- Dishes cleaned and put away
- Rubbish removed
- BBQ cleaned (if used)
- Property secured
Additional cleaning or damage will be deducted from the bond.
9. GENERAL
- We are not responsible for disruptions outside our control (e.g. weather, council works).
- Personal belongings are not covered by insurance.
- Property details are provided in good faith but may vary slightly.
- Rates and conditions may change prior to booking confirmation.
